The new platform offers access to free-at-the-point-of-use images, video and audio content licensed for educational and research use, via an easy-to-use interface, cross-searching across all the collections and the ability to source content from a wide range of content-providers through a thumbnail and metadata search portal

JISC: Technology for Learning Small Project Grant Programme
JISC RSC Wales has announced a Technology for Learning Small Project Grant Programme. Funding is available for up to 10 projects worth £2,500 each. This programme is aimed at supporting the provision of technology to enhance quality of business whilst also generating overall cost savings for the provider.

New funding calls from the HEA
Over the next year there will be a total of £1.5 million of funding available for individual grants, departmental grants and collaborative grants on the themes of internationalisation or employability. This bid-based development grant funding exists to stimulate evidence-based research and encourage innovations in learning and teaching that have the potential for sector-wide impact.

Learning and Teaching Small Project Grants 2011 programme.
The Swansea Academy of Learning and Teaching (SALT) is pleased to invite applications for its Learning and Teaching Small Project Grants 2011 programme. This programme is aimed at supporting academics wanting to explore new approaches to their teaching practices, possibly in response to perceived needs/issues, with the ultimate aim of improving the student learning experience. It is thus complementary to the existing scheme run through the Staff Development Unit.
