Resources from the 2011 Excellence in Learning and Teaching conference:

Internationalisation

Internationalisation was the focus of a workshop on 4th April 2011 led by Jude Carroll from Oxford Brookes University. The workshop looked at issues and resources for teaching international students and some of the challenges and strategies that can be used to ensure effective learning.

It was also one of the strands in the Excellence in Learning and Teaching Conference on 17th May, with sessions on pastoral care, using portfolios and teaching in general.

Teaching Large Groups

Paul Latreille led linked sessions on large group teaching and assessment / feedback on 3rd December 2010 and 25th February 2011, looking at a range of successful strategies from both inside and outside the University, including many from his own experience. It also connected to some JISC funded work being carried out across several Schools.
