The National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFs) is a programme run annually by Advance HE (HEA as was) to promote and recognise teaching excellence in UK Higher Education.

Every Higher Education Institution can nominate up to three exceptional members of staff who either teach or, more recently, support teaching and around 50 candidates are chosen each year to receive the award.

The nominations are judged over three criteria:

  • Individual excellence
  • Raising the profile of excellence
  • Developing excellence

You can find more information on the National Teaching Fellowship scheme here.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be one of our institutional nominees in the future, we’d love to hear from you.

SALT will work with Faculty Associate Deans for Education and School Education Leads to identify suitable candidates from the interested parties who will enter the new Swansea NTFs Process with a view to submitting a claim for NTF in the next few years.
