Curation: Keeping track of your favourites. Do you have a massively long list of favourite websites? Do you have trouble finding what you need in that long list? Would you like to be able to share some of these resources with your students and colleagues?  If so this session is for you, we will show you three different tools that can be used for storing, tagging and sharing and easily finding your favourite websites.

Engage students by creating TedEd videos with Sara Barrento, Biosciences.TED-Ed is TED’s youth and education initiative. It is an online learning platform with over 193,368 animated lessons created by Ted instructors and animators. From evolution to This IT activity will cover the following topics:

    • What is TED?
    • What is TedEd?
    • How to use TedEd-originals in Higher Education?
    • Creating your custom lesson pages with TED-Ed
    • Pros and cons of using TedEd in the classroom

Fancy creating something a little different within your lecture content or blackboard material? Try creating a PowToon to create short animated videos or develop an interesting visual with Adobe Spark or make useful revision aids with Quizlet to promote student learning.

If you just wanted to improve the way in which you use Blackboard – register for Friday’s session.
