Session title: Coronary heart disease – lead lecture – BSC Nursing 1st Year

Number of students: Approx 200

Date, time and location: Tuesday 1st May 2018, 11:00 – 12:00, Fulton C.

Session outline:
This is an activity oriented lead lecture where PowerPoint is used but only really as a place holder for the activities. There is plenty of interactive group work involved in the session, and it is a good example of keeping a large group happy for an hour in a less than ideal space !

Kahoot is used to test the starting knowledge of the group, at the end to check on progress, and during to spark discussions from the answers that come up.

This lecture subject is Sharon’s old area of practice so she also uses narrative, anecdotes and stort telling in the session.
