In 2015 when Swansea University launched its internally accredited route to gain HEA Fellowship recognition, there were less than 100 staff who had this professional recognition for teaching and/or supporting learning in Higher Education.
Since then, with the support of numerous staff across all colleges and Professional Services, the numbers with recognition have grown enormously.
In December 2018, we hit a landmark figure. We gained our 500th HEA Fellow .
To recognise this achievement, we’re profiling a range of staff across the university to share their story, their challenges and their rewards in gaining this recognition.
Watch out for new staff profiled each month and on the University Digi-screens. And if you haven’t got this recognition, contact us in SALT to find out more and/or review our webpages: https://salt.swan.ac.uk/how-to-apply-for-fellowship/
Our series starts with our 500th Fellow – Augustine Egwebe. Read his story and be inspired!
