A summary of Advance HE’s “Engaged student learning: High-impact strategies to enhance student achievement” by Professor Carol Evans, Professor Daniel Muijs and Dr Michael Tomlinson – the outcome of a research project tasked with undertaking a systematic review of the academic literature on high impact pedagogical strategies and student engagement in learning within higher education.
It identifies pedagogies for which there is robust evidence to support the assertion that they lead to engaged student learning and distils key elements of effective practice. This is a summary of the document, which includes links to the 10 case studies included in the final report, organised by academic college.
