HEA Fellowship Assessors

Becoming an Assessor/Mentor for the Swansea Application Route

Expressions of interest to become an HEA Fellowship assessor (all categories) are now closed for 2021.

Being involved in supporting and assessing HEA Fellowship applications is an important part of contributing to the objectives of Swansea University. One of its Centenary Strategic Enabler 16 is, for example, “We will recruit, develop and retain diverse, high quality academic and professional staff who share our ambitions and value”.

We have also recently gained accreditation to offer a route to Associate Fellowship for postgraduate research students who are also employed by the University to teach. These students need support and their applications assessed and this is also where you can contribute.

Assessing applications and providing formative feedback and support to applicants not only enables you to align to these institutional goals, but also supports your own professional development and in particular remain in good standing as an HEA Fellow at the category for which you hold recognition.

Who is Eligible?

Only staff with Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow recognition may be assessors and mentors supporting the Swansea Application Route.

What time commitment is involved?
