In today’s session with Simon, participants explored the online marking tool GradeMark® which is provided by Turnitin, and can be accessed through Blackboard. You can try GradeMark® with the online demo so that you can get a feel of how it works. As an instructor, you will be able to comment and mark student papers online. You can add comments within the body of the paper, point out grammar and punctuation mistakes, evaluate the paper against qualitative or quantitative rubrics, assess the student’s performance within the class and enter a grade or mark for the paper that is automatically saved into GradeBook (optional). GradeMark offers a grammar and spelling checker, e-rater, to automatically scan and mark up papers with grammar and spelling errors.
You should be able to access and use GradeMark from internet browsers such as: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari, although you may need to upgrade to a later version for better access. Other browsers can be used to view or access this product but may not have access to the full functions and features. You can access the instructor manual Chapter 4: GradeMark is you would like more direction or information.
